Marriages and families are attacked on every front in our society.  Couples face challenges that prior generations often did not experience and counseling through these challenges is beneficial to many couples

Our society is exponentially developing excessive and compulsive behaviors including sex and pornography, online gaming, food, unmanaged spending, and the prevalent misuse of prescription and nonprescription drugs.  Many affairs or addictions comfort, medicate, and allow a short period of escape.  Individuals or couples experiencing sex addiction (themselves or their partner) need assistance to stop the addiction cycle.

Almost fifty percent of marriages end in divorce and of those who divorce over eighty percent will remarry within five years.  Those who remarry face many challenges.  Working with an experienced therapist to address and support these challenges can be useful.

Ministry couples and church leaders wrestle with “living in a glass house” and desire to be godly people.  These couples experience challenges that can seem isolating.  Sharing these struggles with someone experienced in ministry can remove some isolation and also provide support and accountability.

Couples who decide that they can no longer remain married face obstacles as they work to dismantle a life lived together, including children, homes, cars, retirement plans, checking and savings, and drop in income and standard of living.  Mediation is helpful for divorcing couples to separate their lives in a more peaceful manner.  Mediaton with a thoughtful as well as purposeful mediator can provide a calm atmosphere.
